Peace Dove and Flowers Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Peony Bamboo

This Peony Bamboo scroll turns looking into a small ritual. The image stays interesting long after the novelty fades. It has presence without demanding the spotlight. There is a softness to it that balances hard modern lines.

Mounted in the traditional manner, the scroll is ready to hang and enjoy. The composition trusts the viewer to meet the colorful gongbi halfway. The calligraphy is freshly seen rather than conventionally arranged. There is a rhythmic quality to the repeated Peace. In the language of Chinese art, the calligraphy speaks of the scholar's craft, practiced stroke by stroke.

For Asian-inspired home decoration, it feels less like decorating and more like curating. For unique Chinese housewarming gift, the handmade quality is the deciding factor. In short, this Peony Bamboo scroll is easy to live with and hard to tire of. It is the sort of piece guests compliment without being prompted. The muted tones sit comfortably alongside both antiques and modern pieces.
