German Shorthaired Pointer Blown Glass Christmas Ornament by Old World Christmas

A German Shorthaired Pointer is rendered here in blown glass with the alert posture and distinctive markings of the sporting breed. The molded ornament is silvered from within, then hand painted and glittered in layers that give the figure definition without losing its old-fashioned Christmas character. It makes a particularly good addition to a tree with woodland, equestrian, or field-sport references—and an affectionate one for a household that knows the breed well.

“A sporting reference gives a Christmas tree personality without making it precious. I like this pointer best among woodland shapes, tartan ribbon, and a few very polished baubles.”
-Mrs. Mayfair
